DevKartz Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 18, 2026
DevKartz is a Chrome extension that helps you save and organize developer websites. This policy explains what data the extension and this website handle. The short version: the extension keeps everything on your device.
The DevKartz extension
What it stores
The resources you add (names, URLs, descriptions, categories, tags and favorites) and your sort preference are saved in your browser using chrome.storage.local. This data stays on your device.
What it does not do
- It does not create accounts or require sign-in.
- It does not send your data to any server, including ours.
- It does not use analytics, advertising, trackers, or third-party services.
- It does not sell or share your data.
- It does not read your browsing history or page content.
Permissions
storage: saves your library and preferences locally.activeTab: reads the title and address of the current tab only when you click “Save this tab”.
Your control
You can edit or delete any resource, export your library as a JSON file, or remove all data by uninstalling the extension. Exported files are saved where you choose and are not uploaded anywhere.
This website
This website is a static site. It does not use cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking scripts, and it does not collect information through forms. Like any website, our hosting provider (Vercel) may process technical data such as your IP address in routine server logs in order to deliver the pages and keep the service secure. The interactive demo on the home page runs entirely in your browser and saves nothing.
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and we use it only to reply to you.
Future changes
If DevKartz adds optional features such as paid plans or cross-device sync, this policy will be updated before those features are released, and any data they handle will be described here.
